about Baron 55
The Beechcraft Baron is a light, twin-engined piston aircraft developed by Beechcraft. The Baron 55 is Beechcraft's first Baron model and was introduced in 1961. It served as a replacement for the Model 95 Travel Air and offered updated 260-HP Continental IO-470L engines. Multiple subvariants were later created, including the A55 with new instruments, the D55 with 'speed-slope' windshield, and the E55 with improved avionics and added features. The aircraft is highly responsive and offers trim controls for the elevator, rudder, and ailerons. The cockpit and cabin offer passenger comfort, with adjustable rudder pedals, a retractable center armrest, and plenty of headroom.
