The high performance R44 Raven I has a Lycoming IO-540 fuel-injected engine providing for higher reliability and safety, especially in hot or cold weather. As an upgrade to R44 Astro series, the Raven I features carburetor heat assist that enhances safety and reduces pilot workload. The interior cabin comfortably seats three passengers who enjoy unobstructed views due to the R44’s open cabin design. Air vents in the cabin provide fresh air for pilot and passengers. The baggage compartment is limited to a concealed storage area under each seat (one soft bag per passenger). More than 6,000 helicopters sold between 2000 and 2018 make the R44 the most popular aircraft of the 21st century.
