about Piper Cherokee
The Piper PA-28 Cherokee is a family of piston aircraft designed for short-haul air taxi flights and personal use. It has four-place seating, two hundred pound baggage capacity, and a 180 horsepower engine. The cabin of the Cherokee 180 measures 40 1/2” (~1m) in width, still an inch wider than its closest competitor, the Cessna 172. The PA-28-180 offers plenty of reserves for any sightseeing flight over the Alps, the Cordilleras, or the islands of Panama. For us, here at Flapper, Cherokee 180’s major benefit is that we couldn’t seem to make a bad landing in it – and believe us, we tried it. This aircraft connects some of the World's most distant runways, including the Toncontin Airport in Honduras and the Bocas del Toro "Isla Colón" International Airport in Panama.
