Robinson's R44 series provide excellent reliability, responsive handling, and altitude performance, making it the ideal helicopter for leisure trips, sightseeing, and utility applications. Introduced in 1993, the Astro is the first in Robinson’s R44 line of helicopters. Known for its iconic Astro paint scheme and tan leather and carpets, R44 Astro remains one of the most popular piston helicopters ever sold. The interior cabin comfortably seats three passengers who enjoy unobstructed views due to the R44’s open cabin design. Air vents in the cabin provide fresh air for pilot and passengers. The baggage compartment is limited to a concealed storage area under each seat (one soft bag per passenger).
