The main one is the International Airport – Hercílio Luz (FLN; SBFL), which has the capacity to receive up to eight million users per year. It is in the south of the island, at a distance of approximately 12 kilometers from the center.

It is located in neighboring São José, a city that is part of the Metropolitan Region of Florianópolis.
