We recently had the opportunity to fly the Phenom 300E , a state-of-the-art aircraft. The objective was to transport a group of investors on the Medellín – Puerto Rico route, in order to diversify their investments in Central America.
The business aviation industry, as always, plays an important role in creating added value for local economies.
Flight Itinerary
The flight departed from José María Córdova International Airport (SKRG/MDE), in Medellín , considered the second busiest airport in Colombia and with an annual movement of over 7.5 million passengers. This airport offers a VIP terminal, with meeting rooms and its own customs, which speed up the boarding procedure, in addition to providing comfort and privacy to executive aviation passengers.
The arrival took place after approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes of flight time at Fernando Luis Ribas Dominicci Airport (TJIG/SIG), which serves the San Juan region. It is considered one of the most modern airports in the country and equipped with the latest security and infrastructure features, such as a VIP terminal and FBOs to serve executive aviation passengers. With a strategic location, it is an important option for flights between Central and North America.
Flight in the modern Light Jet
Manufactured by the Brazilian company Embraer, the Phenom 300E is the best-selling latest generation Light Jet in its category. The aircraft is an enhanced version of the Phenom 300 and features a number of improvements over its predecessor, including a more spacious interior, developed in collaboration with internationally renowned design studios, resulting in a more comfortable passenger experience. Among the other amenities we highlight, an enclosed lavatory, a well-equipped kitchen and an updated entertainment system. Adjustable leather seats offer more space and have extendable headrests, legrests and retractable armrests.
The Phenom 300E has the same range and speed capabilities as its predecessor: it can reach 3,650 km (1970 NM) and reach a maximum cruising speed of 839 kilometers per hour. In addition, it is equipped with state-of-the-art Garmin G3000 avionics, which include navigation, communication and flight management systems, making it safer and more efficient.
